&lt;p&gt;Life-, Career- &amp; Business Coaching is an ongoing professional relationship that helps people produce extraordinary results in their life, career, business or organizations. Through the process of coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance and enhance their quality of life. In each meeting the client chooses the focus of conversation, while the coach listens and contributes observations and questions. This interaction creates clarity and moves the client into action. Coaching can be a challenging process yet it always accelerates the client's progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice. Coaching always concentrates on where clients are now and what they are willing to do to get where they want to be in the future.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;What happens when someone works with a Coach&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Coaching is proven to work when two factors are present:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;The client is willing to learn, to grow and to change &lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;There is a gap between where the client is now and where he wants to be &lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;That is all that is necessary for the client and coach to solve problems, create a plan of action, double sales, increase success, become more profitable, get set on a career path, find balance and fulfillment or whatever is called for to ensure that the client has what he needs to get more of what he wants.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;The successful Coaching Client&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;is a motivated and mentally strong and healthy person who is ready to take an honest look at life. Coaching differs distinctively from therapy. The successful coaching client is ready to take action to move toward a goal and is not seeking emotional healing or relief from psychological pain. The typical coaching client is someone who wants to reach one or more of the following: a higher level of performance, learning, satisfaction, success, life balance or overall fulfillment.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;The Coaching Relationship&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A coach does not relate to the client from a position of an expert, authority or healer. Coaches are experts in the coaching process and may not have knowledge of a given subject area or industry. We do not diagnose, direct or design solutions for the client. Coaches will always follow the client's agenda and hold the client responsible for what he is willing to work on. Together coach and client identify the challenges and possibilities that are before a client and consequently create a plan that - sometimes challenging - is a plan the client is comfortable with in order to step up his life to the next level of success, happiness, balance and fulfillment.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;The Coaching Process&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Coaching services are delivered in many ways - in person, by phone or via e-mail. A preferred way of coaching is by phone as it is the most convenient way for most people. Coaching calls or sessions are usually held once a week / or once every 2 weeks for 30 or 45 minutes. Coaches and clients choose a certain day and time to meet regularly for an initial coaching period of 3 months - thereafter the coaching can be continued on a month-to-month basis until termination by either party.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Before the coaching starts, clients will be provided with various forms - The Welcome Package - which helps to evaluate the gap between where a client is in life and where the client wants to be in the future.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Clients always prepare for each coaching session by completing a &quot;session preparation form&quot; (also provided by the coach) which should be sent to the coach before each session.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;A Must&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It is necessary for the client to implement the coaching that is given to feel that coaching is a success. People who hire a coach want to do things differently than they ever have before. If we keep on doing what we have always done we will get the same old results.&lt;/p&gt;

			<title>Hypnosis</title>

&lt;h2&gt;The Misconception of Hypnosis&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Hypnosis cannot be compared with what can sometimes be seen on stage when an uncertified performer (not a certified hypnotist) tries to manipulate people into acting in silly ways. Shows of this kind are for pure entertainment and have nothing to do with hypnotherapy. Unfortunately, much of the public knowledge of hypnosis is based on such shows, which very often leads to a fear of hypnosis and reluctance on the part of many people to seek the help that hypnotherapy can offer.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt; &lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;Therapeutic Hypnosis&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Certified Hypnotists and members of the National Guild of Hypnotists will always follow their ethical principles and make the clients welfare, safety and physical and mental well-being to their prime consideration.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Somewhere between wakefulness and sleep is the state of consciousness that certified hypnotists use&lt;/strong&gt;. &lt;strong&gt;That trance-like state is similar to the one that occurs spontaneously in sleepwalking or daydreaming&lt;/strong&gt;. Most people will experience hypnosis as a state in which they become more aware of their inner being, their emotions and state of mind&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;so as to make it possible to work and transform those emotions and states which may have become a problem. &lt;strong&gt;You will not lose consciousness or awareness, but become able to gain a different perspective on what has been troubling you&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h2&gt;Access the Subconscious Mind&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Most people talk and act as if the conscious mind is the prime mover behind our behavior and regard the subconscious mind as something vague, that they are not really aware of.&lt;/strong&gt; In fact, the subconscious mind is always working, monitoring and affecting all the physical and psychological functions of the mind and the body, from blood pressure and hormone levels to states of hunger and fatigue, even when we are asleep. The sum of what we have learned and experienced is stored within the subconscious mind, and our memory holds far more than we can usually remember at a conscious level.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Through accessing that subconscious mind, hypnosis can help you learn how to react differently to certain situations and help you better understand your mind's development mechanism&lt;/strong&gt;. For example, if you have to prepare for an exam and feel nervous about it, you can learn how to access and strengthen your ability to relax and then apply that to the situation of passing an exam. Once you know how to do that, then it becomes easier to &quot;decide&quot; how you would like to react in a given situation.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;It is also possible with hypnosis to access memories and past events that are still having detrimental impact on the present&lt;/strong&gt;. By understanding better what happened and how patterns of behavior and feelings were created, then it becomes possible to transform how those memories affect us in our life. You can't erase and forget the past but you can learn to feel and react differently about it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt; &lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;How People respond to Hypnosis&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Really, that will depend on what is troubling you and how willing you are to adapt to a new behavior and to try out new ways of doing things. &lt;strong&gt;A good hypnotist will try to help you understand what the root cause of your problem is and how to transform your response to it&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Remember that you already have within yourself the answers to the problem, even if you are not aware of that at a conscious level. 			<title>The Autogenic Training</title>

&lt;p&gt;&quot;Autogenic Training &quot; is a century old visualization and meditation technique from Europe. It was developed in the early 20th Century by the German psychiatrist and neurologist, Prof. Dr. Johannes Schultz. The use of the technique is very popular in Europe, where it is even covered by most insurance plans. This method is currently gaining increasing acceptance in the USA and other countries!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The training&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;aims to &lt;strong&gt;induce physical and mental relaxation from within and creates deep mental awareness&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;

			<title>The "Fight or Flight" Reaction or the "Sympathetic Stress" Reaction</title>
			<description>&lt;p&gt;Also known as alarm reaction or stress reaction, the fight or flight/sympathetic stress reaction occurs in the body when it's faced by a sudden, unexpected threat or source of stress. The name of this reaction comes from the fact that an animal experiencing this reaction almost immediately decides to fight or to run. In this reaction there is a sudden release of the stress-hormones epinephrine and nor-epinephrine (adrenaline and nor-adrenaline), which increase the blood flow to the muscles, increase arterial blood pressure, improve muscle strength and mental ability, as well as increase blood glucose concentration. Through these actions the body prepares for a confrontation or a fast escape. The same reaction occurs in the body under any stressfull situations. The body responds to stress by sending signals through the sympathetic nerves telling the adrenal glands to begin pumping the two stress hormones, epinephrine and nor-epinephrine.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A little stress can give the body extra energy to enhance performance and escape danger. Prolonged and cumulative stress on the other hand, has an extremely weakening effect on the whole body. It disrupts the ability to fight infections, disease and recovery from injury and illness. It may also have a damaging effect to key areas of the body such as the brain, the heart, digestive system and the joints. Only 15 minutes of Autogenic Training a day reverse the damaging effects of stress!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;The Brainwave States&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In order to fully understand how the brain contributes to a person's state of mind and level of consciousness, it is significantly important to be aware of the various brainwave states through which our brain consistently cycles.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Our brain does not operate in only one brainwave state at a time, but instead pulses in several brainwave states simultaneously throughout the day and night, with one of the states being dominant at any given time. The dominant state indicates our &quot;state of mind&quot; or level of consciousness. Because different areas of the brain may have different activities at any given time, we may have activity in one brainwave state in one area of the brain while at the same time a different brainwave state may be more active in another area of the brain. Each of these brainwave states occurs in a specific frequency range.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Beta state&lt;/strong&gt; is our &quot;awakened&quot; state of mind and ranges from 40Hz to 13Hz. &lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Alpha state&lt;/strong&gt; is where we dream and access our subconscious mind and ranges from 12Hz to 8Hz. &lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Theta state&lt;/strong&gt; represents a state of deep relaxation and ranges from 8Hz to 4Hz. &lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Delta state&lt;/strong&gt; represents a state of deepest dreamless sleep and ranges from 4Hz to 1Hz. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It is a normal function that we are unable to access the subconscious mind at will while the brain functions on a highly alert Beta level. Access to the subconscious mind is only granted while the brain functions in a relaxed Alpha, Theta or Delta state. We might all be most aware of our subconscious mind through our dreams, which occur in the Alpha state. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Through the regular use of Autogenic Training the student learns to guide the brain deliberately into different brainwave states and access the subconscious mind at will while wide awake, in order to work on personal matters. This enables the student to find his/her hidden beliefs and to replace them with more accurate and positive suggestions, allowing him/her to strengthen the self-esteem, enhance the mind's performance and open up an infinite potential for major life-changes.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;The Beta State&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Beta brainwave state is associated with a heightened state of alertness and focused concentration. When the mind is actively engaged in mental activities, the dominant state will be Beta. A person in active conversation, playing sports or making a presentation would be in a Beta state. The Beta brainwave state corresponds to frequencies range from 13Hz to 40Hz.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;The Alpha State&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Alpha brainwaves are slower in frequency than Beta brainwaves and represent a state of relaxed mental awareness or reflection. Alpha brainwave states are typically associated with contemplation, visualization, problem solving and accessing deeper levels of creativity and the subconscious mind. The use of the Autogenic Training enables a student to deliberately shift the mind from the alert Beta state into a relaxed Alpha state at will in order to work on personal matters. The Alpha brainwave state corresponds to frequencies ranging from 8Hz to 12Hz.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;The Theta state&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Theta brainwaves are even slower in frequency and represent a state of deep relaxation and meditation, enhanced creativity, stress relief, light sleep and dreaming. Theta brainwave states have been used in meditation for centuries. Research has proven 30 minutes a day of Theta meditation can dramatically improve a person's overall health and well-being. Theta meditation has also been known to cause the need for less sleep. The Theta brainwave state corresponds to frequencies ranging from 4Hz to 8Hz.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;The Delta state&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Delta brainwaves are the slowest in frequency and represent a state of deep dreamless sleep. Delta brainwave states have long been associated with healing. While Delta brainwave states usually only occur in deep sleep, it is possible to train yourself to remain awake while reaching the Delta state to experience even deeper levels of meditation and awareness. The Delta brainwave state corresponds to frequencies from 1Hz to 4Hz.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;Access Your Subconcious And Change Your Life Forever!&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Through the regular use of Autogenic Training the student will eventually be able to guide the brain into different brainwave states and access the subconscious mind at will in order to work on personal matters. This will dramatically enhance the mind's performance and open up an infinite potential.&lt;/p&gt;

			<title>Self-Esteem, Confidence and Motivation</title>

&lt;h3&gt;Self validation - the ultimate goal to achieve our own personal best&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The goal may be maintained in the subconscious mind, but it is nonetheless a final objective for all people, regardless of race, creed, nationality or even physical condition. The ultimate goal for each and everyone is self-validation; achieving what athletes call a &quot;personal best.&quot; &lt;strong&gt;Regardless of background, education, financial standing or other factors, every individual is subconsciously induced to move onward and upward, to the best possible in relations, beliefs and values!&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Progress toward the ultimate goal and necessary intermediate objectives is affected by experiential factors -- the cards dealt out by heredity, opportunity and life in general -- but there are only three factors essential to positive progress: &lt;span style='FONT-WEIGHT: bold'&gt;self-esteem, confidence and motivation&lt;/span&gt;. During the course of a lifetime, virtually everyone experiences problems involving one or more of these factors.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt; &lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;Self-Esteem&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;High self-esteem is a basic essential of success. Low self-esteem, however, does not suddenly appear like a symptom of an illness&lt;/strong&gt;. It develops like a cancer that usually goes unnoticed in its early stages, but spreading slowly throughout the mind until, when finally recognized, it becomes full-blown, demoralizing, destructive and possibly even terminal.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;While poor self-esteem can emanate from events that might be considered personal setbacks (in business, relationships, health, etc.), the primary cause is negative programming from the past&lt;/strong&gt;. It might also be a product of judgmental parents, teachers, authority figures, relatives or friends. Many times derogatory comments, ridicule, relentless criticism and similar factors ignore commendable achievement and simply accentuate the negative.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Frequently these events, hurts or negative valuations are absorbed by and buried in the subconscious memory, with the victim totally unaware of the sources of troubled feelings, fears, self-doubt and damaging attitudes.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt; &lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;Confidence&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Low self-esteem actually must be dealt with before progress can be achieved in building self-confidence and creating motivation&lt;/strong&gt;. It is difficult for a person to show confidence when he/she views him/herself as a loser.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The procedures for developing confidence may vary considerably, depending on the person's self-perception&lt;/strong&gt;. Any labels such as bad, wrong, stupid, clumsy, dumb, talentless, ignorant, fat, etc. must be disposed of first in order to reveal unrecognized capabilities that lead to an acceptance of valid self-worth.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt; &lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;Motivation&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Once the problems of lack of self-esteem and self-confidence are worked out, one may then begin working on motivation programming&lt;/strong&gt;, which uses mind visualization to create pictures of success, confidence and appropriate abilities.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h3&gt;What Is Universal Life Force Energy?&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Let's call it &quot;the spark of life and of all existance&quot;. Even though life energy is sometimes difficult to measure, it does without a doubt exist. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Throughout different cultures we find about 67 words -- such as Prana or Chi -- describing the one and only Universal Life Force. The modern western scientific world however came up with some other interesting definitions such as &quot;bogus&quot;, &quot;nonsense&quot;, &quot;woo-woo&quot;, &quot;imagination&quot; or &quot;placebo&quot;. No matter, each and every culture seems to agree upon one fact -- all life has its own self-healing intelligence.&lt;/p&gt;

Or we have something surgically removed or repaired without asking ourselves what caused the malfunction in the first place. &lt;h2&gt;The Reiki Treatment&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Reiki is one of several methods to channel precious life energy into ourselves and others. The energy it creates basically has five effects, which constantly interact. &lt;/p&gt;

			<title>Feel the Fear and Do it anyway</title>
			<description>&lt;h3&gt;The essence and meaning of courage&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Many equate courage with feeling brave and fearless. When they feel fear before taking a risk, some people conclude that they are cowards. We gain a far more powerful perspective when we see courage as doing what we choose to do, even when we feel afraid.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h3&gt;Most people who ascend to the top ranks of their field feel fear&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A famous actor can quake in his boots with stage fright before the curtain rises and a skilled teacher can anxiously dread the first day of school even after 30 years in the classroom. Even after decades of success, these people might find that their careers sometimes scare the socks off of them. They feel fear and choose to do what they fear anyway.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Most of us have had this kind of experience at one time or another. We have gone for job interviews, scared so silly that we were not even sure if we can remember our name. Yet we go through the ordeal anyway - and even get hired. The times when we felt the fear and still did what needed doing exemplify the essence and meaning of courage.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h3&gt;Don't worry about fixing feelings&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The notion that courage is about our behaving in the face of fear is so basic, so obvious, that it may barely seem worth mentioning. Think again. We have gone through several decades of self-help books, tapes and seminars that focus on feelings. A common theme of these self-help messages is that we should get in touch with our feelings. Express our feelings, own our feelings, pound our fists, shake, cry and above all, feel our feelings.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h3&gt;Feel the Feelings - then act anyway&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Feelings seem to be beyond our direct control, as fickle, unpredictable and unstable as the weather. Feelings can be totally unrelated to external circumstances. People can have thousands of dollars in the bank and still feel poor. They can have a stack of party invitations and still feel lonely. They can have five degrees and a wall full of diplomas and still feel ignorant.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h3&gt;Actions are much different from feelings&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;While feelings often elude our direct control, we can always claim full responsibility for our actions. We can feel depressed and still choose to do the laundry. We can feel homesick and still choose to do homework. We can feel lazy and still choose to mow the lawn. We can feel fear and still choose to confess our mistakes.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h3&gt;We can act independently of our feelings&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We can fully experience our feelings, know all the details about them and choose to act independently about it. This comes in handy when we feel the tenacious grip of negative feelings, such as fear or anxiety. There is nothing we have to do first in order to gain courage -- all that is required is for us to use the skill we already have and apply it to more and more situations in our life.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Courage is not a mysterious quality that is denied to the masses and dispensed to a chosen few. Courage is a gift each of us has already been granted. We have used it before and it is waiting to be used again whenever we choose.&lt;/p&gt;

			<title>Management of Choices</title>
			<description>&lt;h2&gt;There is no such thing as Time Management&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The very first thing I learned through the work with my mentor coach was that there is no such thing as time management! So what is causing this high level of stress and frustration when time is not enough to get done what's on our schedule and mind?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We cannot make time,create time, set aside time, budget time, save time, lose time or manage time. The point is that we can not manipulate time but we are responsible for one thing completely:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our choices!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Therefore &quot;time management&quot; is better termed as &quot; MANAGEMENT OF CHOICES&quot;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If we are really aware of the choices we make with our time, and what different choices we could make, and the potential outcomes of those choices, then we are in a far better &quot;management&quot; position of our own personal and professional lives.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It also fits in with this basic coaching model I often discuss:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Raise Awareness&lt;br /&gt;2. Make Decisions (Choices)&lt;br /&gt;3. Modify Behaviour (Take Action)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The more we are aware of our schedule choices, the greater our range of choices and ultimately the more prepared we are to change behaviour.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Coaching Exercises&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. How aware are you of your own language around time? Consider paying attention to how you speak about time and look for the phrases earlier in this article in your own language choices and the choices of others. How could you be more precise with your language and focus on the choices versus the impossible?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Consider your schedule now. What choices have you made? Are you happy with those choices? What new choices could you make? What could the impact be of those new choices?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. When others make requests of you which are going to impact on your schedule, how do you currently communicate your schedule needs and choices with them? If you're taking on things from others you really don't want or &quot;have time&quot; for, what is behind that choice to take it on? How could you communicate your choices regarding the schedule to others, and open up a conversation about their schedule choices as well, which is appropriate, professional and respectful?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. &lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;As a professional life and business coach I often see people struggle to maintain some semblance of control over their lives both personally and professionally. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;I hear comments like: &ldquo;My business is running me&hellip;!&rdquo; or &ldquo;I can't seem to manage my time...&rdquo; or &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t have control over what matters...&rdquo;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;The first question I usually ask is: &quot;What are you in control of?&quot; Amazingly, the response is often great silence, followed by another list of what is out of control!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;When I ask: &quot;Of all people in your life, whom do you have complete control over?&quot; This is when the light comes on, their voice lightens up and they realize that the only thing they can have control over is themselves, their thoughts, consequently their feelings and actions.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;Let's look at ourselves for a moment. What difference can we make in our lives and the lives of others - if we use two simple tools to exercise control:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt; COLOR: #c00000'&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;#1 Tool - CHOICE&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;It takes just as much effort to choose to be happy as it does to be sad. We can choose our friends, how we spend our time, money, what risks we take and what is important to us. We can choose to be giving or taking, how to act or react and&hellip; yes we do have a choice whether to sabotage ourselves or practice extreme self-care in everything we do. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;Of course there are learning curves for everything in life, but as we choose different actions and reactions, new and more helpful habits are being established. Choice is a wonderful gift when remembered to be used. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;I suggest that you consider the responsibility and also the impact that your choices have on you and the world around you. If you do not like the result of your choices, there is usually a next time and you can choose differently!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt; COLOR: #c00000'&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span&gt;#2 Tool - HABIT&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;To explain the second tool of control&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;, I want to share a quote with you that I obtained from the wonderful book by John C. Maxwell entitled &quot;Thinking For a Change&quot;. The quote is from an unknown source but it resonated with me so I felt it was worth including in its entirety: &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;&lt;em&gt;&quot;I am your constant companion. I am your greatest helper or heaviest burden. I will push you onward or drag you down to failure. I am completely at your command. Half of the things you do you might just as well turn over to me and I will be able to do them quickly and correctly. I am easily managed - you must merely be firm with me. Show me exactly how you want something done and after a few lessons I will do it automatically. I am the servant of all great men; and alas, of all great failures as well. Those who are great, I have made great. Those who are failures, I have made failures. I am not a machine, though I work with all the precision of a machine plus the intelligence of a man. You may run me for profit or run me for ruin - it makes no difference to me. Take me, train me, be firm with me, and I will place the world at your feet. Be easy with me and I will destroy you. Who am I? I am a habit!&quot;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;Yes, the second tool is our ability to make or break a habit.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;We all have habits that support and nourish or hinder and drain us. I bet you can think of one bad habit, be it big or small, that if removed would have a deeper impact on the quality of your life, business, relationship or career.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;Which habit are you ready to break today? &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;How would a healthy and supportive habit look like instead?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;What impact would this have on your life, career, relationship, business or the life of others?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol style='MARGIN-TOP: 0in' type='1'&gt;
    &lt;li style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;
    &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;Create &lt;span style='COLOR: #c00000'&gt;Clarity&lt;/span&gt; around what you want the new habit to be. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
    &lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;
    &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt; COLOR: #c00000'&gt;Understand&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt; the benefits of creating this habit, what positive things it will support and what pain it will eradicate. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
    &lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;
    &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;Build &lt;span style='COLOR: #c00000'&gt;Awareness&lt;/span&gt; about when you want the habit to kick in.&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
    &lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;
    &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;Create &lt;span style='COLOR: #c00000'&gt;Reminders&lt;/span&gt; for yourself. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
    &lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;
    &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;Give yourself room for the new habit to form and strengthen. If you forget to use it, maintain awareness and put some stopgaps in place. Just like building any muscle, &lt;span style='COLOR: #c00000'&gt;Repetition&lt;/span&gt; is the key to success!&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
    &lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li style='MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: normal'&gt;
    &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style='FONT-SIZE: 10pt'&gt;Define how you measure &lt;span style='COLOR: #c00000'&gt;Success&lt;/span&gt; and when you know that you reached your goal.&lt;/span&gt;  &lt;/p&gt;
    &lt;/li&gt;

			<title>Transition &amp; The Power of Purpose</title>
			<description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span&gt;TRANSITION &amp; THE POWER OF PURPOSE!&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There are times when life backs us into a corner and brings us to our knees. Almost all of us have experienced moments when all our approaches to overcome a challenge have fallen utterly flat! Suddenly we find ourselves not only dealing with the task at hand; in addition we are fighting daemons&hellip; our very own demoralizing voices paralyzing us with self-doubt and fear! &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In these times it is wise to face the fear and quit fighting what&rsquo;s happening, and to start riding the horse in the direction its going! &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Once we accept we&rsquo;re at the end of the rope, and open ourselves to receiving help, we learn that we don&rsquo;t have to go it alone, and that our future has not fallen of the earth! Accepting that we&rsquo;re stumped, hopeless and overwhelmed, and that all our ideas and energy are spent, we now allow space for new concepts to unfold, and this is where I&rsquo;d like to introduce the Power of Purpose!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Life Purpose is our internal force that &lt;strong&gt;&ldquo;calls us forth&rdquo;&lt;/strong&gt;, that deeply connects us with our &lt;strong&gt;core values&lt;/strong&gt; and with the world around us. Life Purpose is larger than ourselves; it is the particular way that we are called to be, a reason that gives our lives meaning and direction. As former U.S. president Woodrow Wilson once said:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;span&gt;&quot;You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand.&quot;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align='center'&gt;&lt;em&gt;When Purpose, Power and Passion align,&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align='center'&gt;&lt;em&gt;We find Personal Fulfillment and enrich the World!&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align='center'&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;One way to define Life Purpose is to create a Purpose Statement. A powerful Purpose Statement pulls you toward it and engenders energy - like the wind in your sails. However big the challenge in front may be, Purpose lends wings to overcome the sheer impossible. You know where you are headed when your Purpose is clear, and as such your Purpose Statement will help clarify the right steps.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Below some Examples of Purpose Statements:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&quot;My purpose is to support and partner personally and professionally with leaders to create organizations where the human spirit thrives.&quot;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&quot;My purpose is to work generously and to live in service; to manifest love through connecting and caring for self and others; to support the development of inner wisdom and inner peace in myself, my colleagues, my clients, and my community.&quot;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&ldquo;My purpose is to build and lead organizations that model the best practices on our industry, are profitable financially and viable long-term, and which offer dedicated workers meaningful work and sustained employment.&rdquo;&lt;/p&gt;

			<title>Overcoming Fear of Rejection</title>
			<description>&lt;h2&gt;&quot;The ages old fear of rejection and how to overcome that down in the belly negative feeling that comes when you put your talents on the line and they are rejected. What part of us is actually being rejected?&quot;&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Try this vision: What is real... at this moment you have certain talents and abilities, hopes and dreams, needs and values. You have family and friends that care about you. You have accomplished great things in life; be it your academic track record, your employment history, your ability to be a team player, a leader, a parent and trusted partner ... with many other talents you learned along the way. The concrete evidence of your existence thus far proves that you are capable of tackling the world and what it has handed you... wouldn't you say that you can  actually be proud of who you have become?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Now take one small action such as opening a letter saying you were not selected for the job you applied for, you did not get that promotion, your business proposal was rejected or you did not get into the school of your dreams. What happens? The air is knocked out of you, suddenly that lead feeling in your gut is taking over. The act of reading one letter has changed &quot;I am ok&quot; into I am not good enough!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In reality you are still this very capable and loved person. What has changed is simply your attitude. You have allowed yourself to take the rejection personally. Suddenly your internal dialoge is about you not being good enough, when moments before you were just fine. You have given your power away because of someone else&rsquo;s action.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Fact is that another person had a stronger set of tools for this particular situation, or perhaps there was a personal contact that was selected or the person making the decision had a bad day the day of your interview, we will never know... so let's get over it and strengthen our confidence.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We meet rejections every day, whether it is of our dreams, of a new job, a promotion or a sale we have endeavored to close. So here are 3 simple rules to dealing with rejection successfully:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Don&rsquo;t take rejection personally&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Use rejection as a learning tool&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Change your internal dialog and move on to the next challenge&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;h3&gt;Don&rsquo;t take Rejection Personally!&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It is rarely about us, even though our egos try to tell us so. Our minds are most creative and energetic and if left alone, are masters at the negative - what I like to call our &ldquo;Pity Committee&rdquo;. Replace your &quot;Pity Committee&quot; with a sensible group of voices: which include your INTUITION, your HEART, your INTELLIGENCE, your CURIOSITY, your PASSION, your SPIRIT and your EXPERIENCE.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h3&gt;Use Rejection as a Learning Tool&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Your new &ldquo;Success Committee&rdquo;, will help you deal with rejection as a learning tool. Ask questions when you receive a no. What did not meet your needs? What was missing so I might improve? Rarely is a person reluctant to help another improve. Then set up an appropriate action plan to carry out what you have discovered. Choose to learn from the rejection and move on to the next with a greater arsenal of tools for your future success.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h3&gt;Change your Internal Dialog and move on to the next Challenge&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Establish a solid awareness that negative feelings caused by rejection are the result of your internal dialog going down the wrong track. Create a plan of action how to stop talking yourself down and implement a healthy internal dialog instead. Establish a new set of supportive thoughts and habits that support you well.
